Rolling machine roller refers to a cylindrical component used on a rolling machine to bend and form metal sheets (steel plates, aluminum plates, stainless steel plates, etc.). They exert tremendous pressure and friction to cause continuous plastic deformation of the sheet, ultimately forming a circular arc or cylindrical shape with a predetermined curvature.

Lower rollers (two): usually drive rollers, fixed in position, responsible for providing main support and forward power.
Upper roller (one): usually a driven roller/pressure roller that can move vertically up and down, used to clamp the sheet and control the bending radius.

Feature

1. It consists of an upper roller and two lower rollers. 
2. Common materials: high-strength and high-quality alloy steel.
3. Heat treatment: It must undergo quenching and tempering treatment (quenching+high-temperature tempering) to obtain comprehensive mechanical properties of high strength and good toughness.
4. The surface of the roller body is usually quenched to achieve high hardness (HRC55-60 or higher), while the core maintains toughness, thus achieving the unity of wear resistance and fatigue resistance.
5. For plates such as rolled stainless steel or non-ferrous metals that require extremely high surface requirements, the roller surface should be plated with hard chromium to increase smoothness and rust resistance.
6. Large rollers usually use forged blanks to eliminate casting defects, obtain dense metal flow lines, and improve comprehensive mechanical properties.
7. Through multiple processes such as rough turning, precision turning, and grinding, ensure the dimensional accuracy, cylindricity, and surface roughness of the roller body.
8. For high-speed rollers, dynamic balance correction must be carried out to prevent equipment vibration, ensure smooth operation and molding quality.

Function

Apply pressure: Apply bending moment to the sheet by moving up and down or fixing the position.
Guide the board: Ensure that the board travels along the predetermined trajectory during the rolling process to prevent deviation.
Determining forming accuracy: The rigidity, accuracy, and surface quality of the roller directly affect the roundness, straightness, and surface smoothness of the formed workpiece.
Power transmission: The driving roller (usually the lower roller) provides torque through a motor and gearbox to drive the sheet forward.
